PRODUCT INFO

Vetericyn Animal Ophthalmic Gel is a topical ophthalmic product intended for use on cats and dogs.

WHAT THIS PRODUCT CURES

Vetericyn Animal Ophthalmic Gel is used for cleansing and soothing of inflamed and irritated eyes in cats and dogs. It is effective in the treatment of viral, bacterial and yeast infections. Vetericyn formula successfully eliminates the strains of bacteria resistant to the usual antibiotics, such as MRSA.

PET SYMPTOMS

Cats and dogs often suffer from eye inflammations and irritations. The appearance of the clinical symptoms depends on the eye structures affected by the irritation. The most common and mildest form of the eye inflammation is conjunctivitis. In case of conjunctivitis, the inflammation affects the outer, transparent layer of the eye. In complicated cases, the inflammation can spread to the inner structures of the eye or the surrounding tissues such as eyelids. The inflamed eye is painful and itchy. The animals are squinting and trying to rub the affected eye. The outer surface of the eyeball is red; the skin around the eye is usually moist and dirty from the discharge. The discharge can be clear or pustulous. The front surface of the eye is cloudy in certain cases. In severe cases, the vision is impaired.

PET AILMENTS

Eye inflammation is often associated with allergies, metabolic disorders or auto-immune diseases. It can accompany certain infectious diseases such as Canine Distemper or Feline Infectious Peritonitis. Eye inflammation can be a result of irritation with foreign bodies, irritant liquids or insects.

RELATIVE INFO ON BREEDS MOST ASSOCIATED WITH THIS AILMENT
