RIMADYL and your Dog:
RIMADYL(carprofen) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the propionic acid class that includes ibuprofen, naproxen, and ketoprofen. RIMADYL is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of pain after orthopedic surgeries in dogs.

Square, beige to tan, half-scored flavored chewable tablets. You can give the chewable tablet to your dog with or without food. Your dog feel relief fast in an effective way.
How RIMADYL works:
RIMADYL inhibit the release of several hormones responsible of causing pain for your dog. Dogs treated with RIMADYL showed significant reduction in pain very fast.

What I need to know about RIMADYL CHEWABLE TABLETS:
Is a Chewable Tablet indicated for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, and orthopedic postoperative procedures in dogs. If your dogs is hypersensitivity to carprofen do not give RIMADYL. RIMADYL is indicated for dogs 6 weeks of age or older. RIMADYL Is available in 25mg, 75mg and 100mg scored beige to tan Chewable tablet or caplets. RIMADYL , like other drugs of its class, is not free from adverse reactions. You should be advised of the potential for adverse reactions and be informed of the clinical signs associated with RIMADYL intolerance. Adverse reactions may include vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, inappetence, melena, hematemesis, gastrointestinal ulceration, gastrointestinal bleeding, pancreatitis, Ataxia, paresis, paralysis, seizures, vestibular signs, disorientation, hematuria, polyuria, polydipsia, urinary incontinence, urinary tract infection, azotemia, acute renal failure, tubular abnormalities including acute tubular necrosis, renal tubular acidosis, glucosuria, Sedation, lethargy, hyperactivity, restlessness, aggressiveness.
What I need to tell and ask my veterinarian if RIMADYL is prescribe to my dog:
If your veterinarian prescribe RIMADYL to your dog, comment any allergy or reaction the dog may have to Novox, Carprofen, Vetprofen or any other medication. Advice your Veterinarian if during treatment your dog have symptoms of dehydration, or experience any digestive, renal, cardiovascular, hepatic and/or any other dysfunction.
Indications for this drug:
Follow strictly the indications as your veterinarian gives on your prescription. The recommended RIMADYL dosage is 2 mg/lb of your dog body weight daily or divided and administered as 1 mg/lb twice daily.
What I should do if 1 dose is skipped:
Continue with the following dose, do not give two doses at once.
What I should do if my pet suffer an overdose:
Call or Visit your nearest veterinary emergency center immediately.
During the trealtment:
Call your veterinarian about any other medication you may want to give to your dog. Keep your dog hydrated, Store RIMADYL at room temperature, between 59Â°-86Â° F (15Â°-30Â° C).
Side Effects of RIMADYL:
Your dog may experience vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, inappetence, melena, hematemesis, gastrointestinal ulceration, gastrointestinal bleeding, pancreatitis, Ataxia, paresis, paralysis, seizures, vestibular signs, disorientation, hematuria, polyuria, polydipsia, urinary incontinence, urinary tract infection, azotemia, acute renal failure, tubular abnormalities including acute tubular necrosis, renal tubular acidosis, glucosuria, Sedation, lethargy, hyperactivity, restlessness, aggressiveness. If during the treatment you have additional questions or concerns about your pet and RIMADYLplease contact your veterinarian or pharmacist and they will assist you with the accurate answer.
