REVOLUTION and your Dog or Cat:
REVOLUTION (selamectin) is a topical colorless to yellow, ready to use solution available in single dose tubes of parasiticide treatment for dogs six weeks of age and older and cats eight weeks of age and older. REVOLUTION (selamectin) is recommended for use in dogs to kills adult fleas, prevents flea infestations, and control flea eggs from hatching for one full month. REVOLUTION (selamectin) is recommended for the prevention of heartworm disease, and the treatment and control of ear mite. REVOLUTION is recommended for the treatment and control of sarcoptic mange and for the control of tick infestations. REVOLUTION is also indicated for cats for the treatment and control of roundworm and intestinal hookworm.

How REVOLUTION works:
REVOLUTION (selamectin) disables parasites like fleas by causing neuromuscular paralysis, impaired muscular contraction, and eventual death. REVOLUTION (selamectin) also fights internal parasitic infection when is absorbed into the dog and cat body through the skin and hair follicles to travels through the bloodstream, intestines, and sebaceous glands ; parasites get killed when ingest the drug from the animal's blood.

What is REVOLUTION:
REVOLUTION (selamectin) is a topical parasiticide and antihelminthic used on dogs and cats. Prevents infections of heartworms, fleas, ticks, ear mites, and sarcoptic mange in dogs. Also prevents heartworms, fleas, ear mites, hookworms, and roundworms in cats. REVOLUTION (selamectin) is waterfast, and does not lose its effectiveness with bathing. It is packaged according to its varying dosage sizes, and is applied once monthly. REVOLUTION (selamectin) is not approved for human use.
What I need to know about REVOLUTION:
Is a topical solution, do not administer REVOLUTION (selamectin) orally. Do not let REVOLUTION (selamectin) get in your dogâs or cat mouth or eyes. Use REVOLUTION (selamectin) with caution in sick, debilitated, or underweight dogs or cats.Prior to administration of REVOLUTION (selamectin), dogs should be tested for existing heartworm disease. Do not apply REVOLUTION (selamectin) when the haircoat is wet. Bathing or shampooing your dog or cat 2 or more hours after REVOLUTION (selamectin) is apply will not reduce their effectiveness.
What I need to tell and ask my veterinarian if REVOLUTION is prescribe to my dog:
Before your veterinarian prescribe REVOLUTION (selamectin) to your dog or cat, comment about your dog or cat maybe pregnant, if it's lactating newborn puppies. Also comment with your vet about your dog or cat possible allergies to REVOLUTION (selamectin).
Indications for this drug:
Follow strictly the indications to follow as your veterinarian gives on your REVOLUTION (selamectin) prescription. The recommended minimum dosage of REVOLUTION (selamectin) is 2.7 mg selamectin per pound (6 mg/kg) depending on your dog or cat body weight once every month.
What I should do if 1 dose is skipped:
Continue with the following dose, do not give two doses at once.
What I should do if my pet suffer an overdose:
Call or Visit your nearest veterinary emergency center immediately.
During the trealtment:
Call your veterinarian about any other medication you may want to give to your dog or cat. Store REVOLUTION (selamectin) at room temperature, between 59°-86° F (15°-30° C).
Side Effects of REVOLUTION:
Your dog may experience vomiting, loose stool or diarrhea with or without blood, anorexia, lethargy, salivation, tachypnea, muscle tremors, pruritus, urticaria, erythema, ataxia, and fever.
