PREVICOX (firocoxib) belongs to the coxib class of non-narcotic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs indicated for dogs to relief pain and inflammation.

Round, beige to tan, half-scored flavored chewable tablets. You can give the chewable tablet to your dog with or without food. Your dog feel relief fast in an effective way.

PREVICOX (firocoxib) is a cyclooxygenase-inhibiting (coxib) class, non-narcotic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Dogs treated with PREVICOX showed a level of improvement very fast.

What is PREVICOX:

PREVICOX (firocoxib) is a cyclooxygenase-inhibiting (coxib) class, non-narcotic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.

What I need to know about PREVICOX CHEWABLE TABLETS:

Is a Chewable Tablet indicated for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, postoperative procedures in dogs. If your dogs is hypersensitivity to firocoxib do not give PREVICOX. PREVICOX is indicated for dogs 8 weeks of age or older. PREVICOX cannot be dosed accurately in dogs less than 12.5 pounds. Is available in 57mg and 227mg scored beige to tan Chewable tablet. PREVICOX, like other drugs of its class, is not free from adverse reactions. You should be advised of the potential for adverse reactions and be informed of the clinical signs associated with PREVICOX intolerance. Adverse reactions may include vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, dark or tarry stools, increased water consumption, increased urination, pale gums due to anemia, yellowing of gums, skin or white of the eye due to jaundice, lethargy, incoordination, seizure, or behavioral changes

What I need to tell and ask my veterinarian if PREVICOX is prescribe to my dog:

If your veterinarian prescribe Previcox to your dog, comment any allergy or reaction the dog may have to Novox, Rimadyl, Vetprofen or any other medication. Advice your Veterinarian if during treatment your dog have symptoms of dehydration, or experience any digestive, renal, cardiovascular, hepatic and/or any other dysfunction.

Indications for this drug:

Follow strictly the indications as your veterinarian gives on your prescription. The recommended dosage of PREVICOX (firocoxib) is 2.27 mg/lb (5.0 mg/kg) of your dog body weight once daily as needed.

What I should do if 1 dose is skipped:

Continue with the following dose, do not give two doses at once.

What I should do if my pet suffer an overdose:

Call or Visit your nearest veterinary emergency center immediately.

During the treatment:

Call your veterinarian about any other medication you may want to give to your dog. Keep your dog hydrated, Store PREVICOX at room temperature, between 59°-86° F (15°-30° C).

Side Effects of PREVICOX:

Your dog may experience vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, dark or tarry stools, increased water consumption, increased urination, pale gums due to anemia, yellowing of gums, skin or white of the eye due to jaundice, lethargy, incoordination, seizure, or behavioral changes If during the treatment you have additional questions or concerns about your pet and PREVICOX please contact your veterinarian or pharmacist and they will assist you with the accurate answer.

I was very unhappy with how long it took to get this order out. I realize that there were Xmas holidays during the time I ordered, but it shouldn't have taken days to get it out, & 2wks for delivery.

Our dog was having pain somewhere in his back end area an after 400 in vet bills. and still no diagnosis, we began this drug. Our dog has not yelped ever since trying this drug.
