Neo Poly Dex Ophthalmic is a used in the eye to treat bacterial infections and swelling or inflammation as a result of the infection. Neomycin and Polymyxin B are antibiotics which kill bacteria and dexamethasone is a corticosteroid which is used to treat inflammation. DIRECTIONS: Use Neo Poly Dex eye ointment exactly as directed by your veterinarian. If you do not understand the directions, ask your pharmacist or veterinarian to explain them to you. Wash your hands before and after using the eye ointment. Apply a thin film into the lower eyelid. Wait at least 10 minutes before applying any other eye medication. Do not touch the dropper or tube opening to any surface, including the eyes or hands. SIDE EFFECTS: Serious side effects are not expected when using this medication. However, some burning, stinging, irritation, itching, redness, blurred vision, eyelid itching, eyelid swelling, or sensitivity to light may occur. Continue to use the medication and talk to your veterinarian about any side effects that seem unusual or bothersome to your pet. CAUTION(S): Before using Neo Poly Dex Ophthalmic, tell your veterinarian if your pet is using other eye drops or eye medications. If your pet has swelling of the face, itching, or appears to have difficulty breathing, contact your veterinarian immediately. Do not touch the tube opening to any surface including eyes or hands.
