Legend Hyaluronate Sodium is FDA approved for use in veterinary medicine. The usual dose in horses is 4 ml (40 mg) I.V or 2ml (20 mg) intra-articular in the carpus or fetlock. Treatment may be repeated at weekly intervals for a total of three treatments. Legend (hyaluronate sodium) Injectable Solution is a clear, colorless solution of low viscosity.
