WHAT THIS PRODUCT CURES

The skin aids the body in so many ways, as this protective layer protects internal organs from infections and pathogens. The skin itself, however, can be a breeding ground of thriving bacteria and fungi. Healthy animals are able to ward off these bacteria through the immune system. Immune deficient animals are unable to complete this action and often obtain bacterial/fungal infections. Infections caused by yeast or bacteria of the skin are referred to as an opportunistic infection.
Opportunistic infections can be caused by seborrhea oleosa, immune deficient conditions, or by prescription medications such as corticosteroids.
Seborrhea oleosa is an over production of oils from the oil glands. Oils are naturally produced to strengthen the hair and protect the skin from over during as well as infections. An over production of this aliment causes a yeast, skin infection known as Malassezia dermatitis. Malassezia dermatitis causes pets to develop aliments such as thickening of the skin,Hyperpigmentation (dark pigmented skin), a musty odor, scaly or crusty skin, flaky skin, Itching and redness, and even chronic or recurrent otitis externa(ear infections).
