2. Is D-Worm safe for my pet?
a) D-Worm is safe for dogs and cats; it is even safely used in young puppies and kittens. It rarely causes side effects. However, consult with your veterinarian before administering D-Worm to pregnant or severely debilitated animals. Puppies and kittens younger than 6 weeks should not be treated with D-Worm.
3. How is D-Worm used?
a) D-Worm is simple to administer. The proper dose is calculated according to the animal’s weight and mixed with the usual food or treat. D-Worm is administered as a single dose when a roundworm infection is suspected.
4. What are the side effects of D-Worm?
a) Side effects of D-Worm are rare, but can occur in certain cases. They include vomiting, nausea and muscle tremors. In animals infected with a large number of roundworms D-Worm can cause intestinal obstruction or rupture.

D-Worm is for animal use only. Keep away from children and pets.
The product is effective only against adult worms found in the intestine; it does not remove larval stages that are migrating.

BRAND VS GENERIC COMPARISON
There is a generic equivalent of D-Worm liquid available on the market. It contains the same active ingredient and comes in the same formulation. Its price is somewhat lower than the brand name counterpart. However it is always advisable to use brand name products for their reliability and guarantee of quality.
HOW IT WORKS
The active ingredient of D-Worm is piperazine, a potent antiparasitic effective against large roundworms in dogs and cats. Piperazine paralyzes the adult parasites in the intestine causing them to be eliminated with the feces of the treated animals. Paralyzed worms are alive for a short period of time outside of their host.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
D-Worm should be administered according to the veterinary and product label instructions. The liquid is meant for oral administration. It is not necessary to withdraw food prior to D-Worm administration. The appropriate amount of D-Worm liquid is mixed with food or pet treats. In some cases, roundworms can be seen in the feces of the treated animal within one or two days of administration. It is advisable to confine the pets (if possible) during that period so that the feces can be collected and removed. In case of reinfection with roundworms, the treatment may need to be repeated after two weeks.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
D-Worm liquid is administered orally, and the dose is determined according to the animal’s weight. Weigh the animal before administering D-Worm to ensure proper dosing.
