CLAVAMOX and your Dog: Clavamox is an orally administered antibiotic tablet indicated in the treatment of skin, urinary, and respiratory infection in dogs and cats. To be Used in: Dogs and Cats Advantage of CLAVAMOX : Clavamox is an orally administered antibiotic tablet Works effectively for Skin and soft tissue infections in dogs and cats. How CLAVAMOX works: Clavamox combines amoxicillin trihydrate and clavulanate potassium. The 2 components are rapidly absorbed by your pet system (serum, urine, and tissues). Clavamox combines the distinctive properties of a broad-spectrum antibiotic and a β-lactamase inhibitor to effectively extend the antibacterial effect thru your pet body. Cautions: Please consult your veterinarian or pharmacist before your pet takes any other Prescription, Over-the-counter, vitamins or Herbal Medications. CLAVAMOX Label: Brand Name: CLAVAMOX® TABLETS Generic Name: amoxicillin trihydrate/clavulanate potassium What is CLAVAMOX: Clavamox (amoxicillin trihydrate/clavulanate potassium) is an orally administered antibiotic tablet effective against many bacteria infections. What I need to know about CLAVAMOX TABLETS: CLAVAMOX is an oral Tablet. CLAVAMOX is indicated for dogs and cats. Do not give CLAVAMOX to your dog or cat if have allergic reaction to any of the penicillins or cephalosporins. CLAVAMOX is available in 62.5, 125, 250, and 375 mg. CLAVAMOX , like other drugs of its class, is not free from adverse reactions. You should advised veterinarian of the potential for adverse reactions and be informed of the clinical signs associated with CLAVAMOX intolerance. What I need to tell and ask my veterinarian if CLAVAMOX is prescribe to my dog: If your veterinarian prescribe CLAVAMOX to your dog or cat, comment any allergy or reaction the dog may have to penicillins or cephalosporins or any other medication. Advice your Veterinarian if during treatment your dog or cat have symptoms of any sign of allergic reaction. Indications for this drug: Follow strictly the indications as your veterinarian gives on your prescription. The recommended dosage of CLAVAMOX is 6.25 mg/lb of your dog body weight once daily as needed. What I should do if 1 dose is skipped: Continue with the following dose, do not give two doses at once. What I should do if my pet suffer an overdose: Call or Visit your nearest veterinary emergency center immediately. During the trealtment: Call your veterinarian about any other medication you may want to give to your dog. Keep your dog hydrated, Store CLAVAMOX at room temperature, between 59°-86° F (15°-30° C). Side Effects of CLAVAMOX : Your dog may experience shortness of breath, mild diarrhea, vomiting, hives; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; rash and fungal infection.
