ADVANTAGE MULTI and your Dog and Cat:

ADVANTAGE MULTI(10% imidacloprid + 2.5% moxidectin) Dog ADVANTAGE MULTI(10% imidacloprid + 1% moxidectin) Cat Is a colorless to yellow topical solution packaged in single dose applicator tube, indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease, kills adult fleas and treat flea infestations, ear mite infestations and also treat and control Hookworm, Roundworm, and Whipworm. It is recommended you to use ADVANTAGE MULTI in dogs and puppies 7 weeks of age and older, and weigh at least 3 lbs of body weight, as well as cats and kittens 9 weeks of age and older and that weigh at least 2 lbs.

One single tube of ADVANTAGE MULTI treat multiple diseases. Proved as the most effective prevention of heartworm disease. Safe for puppies 7 weeks of age and older and kittens 9 weeks of age and older.

How ADVANTAGE MULTI works:

ADVANTAGE MULTI is composed by the combination of imidacloprid and moxidectin, imidacloprid cause the paralysis and death of the fleas, and moxidectin prevent and control heartworms and intestinal worms by causing the paralysis and death of the parasite.

What is ADVANTAGE MULTI:

Is a colorless solution packaged in single dose applicator tubes for topical use in dogs and cats. ADVANTAGE MULTI is designed to provide a minimum of 4.5 mg/lb (10 mg/kg) imidacloprid and 1.1 mg/lb (2.5 mg/kg) moxidectin based on your dog body weight or 4.5 mg/lb (10.0 mg/kg) imidacloprid and 0.45 mg/lb (1.0 mg/kg) moxidectin based on your cat body weight to treat and prevent heartworm disease, fleas and flea infestations, ear mite infestations, control Hookworm, Roundworm, and Whipworm.

What I need to know about ADVANTAGE MULTI:

Is a topical solution, do not administer ADVANTAGE MULTI orally. Do not let ADVANTAGE MULTI get in your dog or cat mouth or eyes.For the first 30 minutes after apply ADVANTAGE MULTI ensure your dog or cat cannot lick the product from application sites on themselves or other treated dog or cat, and Separate your dog or cat from one another and from other pets to reduce the risk of accidental ingestion. Ingestion of ADVANTAGE MULTI by dog or cat may cause adverse reactions including depression, salivation, dilated pupils, incoordination, panting, and generalized muscle tremors. Use ADVANTAGE MULTI with caution in sick, debilitated, or underweight dogs.Prior to administration of ADVANTAGE MULTI, dog’s or cat should be tested for existing heartworm infection. You can shampoo your dog or cat 90 minutes after treatment this will not reduce the effectiveness of ADVANTAGE MULTI. You can shampoo your dog or cat 4 days after treatment this will not reduce the effectiveness of ADVANTAGE MULTI in the treatment of flea infestations.

What I need to tell and ask my veterinarian if ADVANTAGE MULTI is prescribe to my dog or cat:

Before your veterinarian prescribe ADVANTAGE MULTI to your dog or cat, comment about your dog or cat maybe pregnant, if it's lactating newborn puppies. Also comment with your vet about your dog or cat pass and possible allergy to any ADVANTAGE MULTI ingredients imidacloprid, or moxidectin.

Indications for this drug:

Follow strictly the indications to follow as your veterinarian gives on your ADVANTAGE MULTI prescription. The recommended minimum dosage of ADVANTAGE MULTI is 4.5 mg/lb (10 mg/kg) imidacloprid and 1.1 mg/lb (2.5 mg/kg) moxidectin depending on your dog body weight once every month or 4.5 mg/lb (10.0 mg/kg) imidacloprid and 0.45 mg/lb (1.0 mg/kg) moxidectin based on your cat body weight.

What I should do if 1 dose is skipped:

Continue with the following dose, do not give two doses at once.

What I should do if my pet suffer an overdose:

Call or Visit your nearest veterinary emergency center immediately.

During the trealtment:

Call your veterinarian about any other medication you may want to give to your dog or cat. For the first 30 minutes after application keep your treated dog or cat separate from other pets to reduce the risk of accidental ingestion. Store ADVANTAGE MULTI at room temperature, between 59°-86° F (15°-30° C).

Side Effects of ADVANTAGE MULTI:

Your dog or cat may experience diarrhea, bloody stools, vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, coughing, ocular discharge and nasal discharge. You also may notice after application stiff or greasy hair, the appearance of a white deposit on the hair, and mild erythema, which resolved without treatment within 2 to 48 hours. If during the treatment you have additional questions or concerns about your dog or cat and ADVANTAGE MULTI please contact your veterinarian or pharmacist and they will assist you with the accurate answer.


DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Before start using Advantage II always read the “HOW TO OPEN” section on the product label and follow this pictures we ilustrate for you.

Do not get advantage Multi in the cat or dog's mouth or eyes or allow the cat to lick the application site for 30 minutes. Treatment at the base of the head will minimize the opportunity for ingestion by grooming. In households with multiple cats or dogs separate them to prevent licking of the application site.

Stiff, matted hair or a damp, oily appearance of the hair may be observed at the application site on some cats. This is temporary and does not affect the safety and effectiveness of Advantage Multi.

 

Application in Cats:

Part the hair on the neck at the base of the skull and squeeze the tube to expel the entire contents of the tube directly on the cat skin.

 

Application in Dogs:

Part the hair on the back of the dog between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.

For dogs weighing 20 lbs. or less, place the tip of the tube on the skin between the shoulder blades, and squezze the entire tube on that spot.

For dogs weighing more than 20 lbs. place the tip of the tube on the skin and apply the entire contents at 3 or 4 spots on the top of the backline from the base of the neck to the upper back in an area inaccessible to licking. Do not apply solution at any one location that could run off the side of the dog.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Shampooing your dog 90 minutes after treatment does not reduce the effectiveness of Advantage Multi.

Water immersion 4 days after treatment will not reduce the effectiveness of Advantage Multi for Dogs in the treatment of flea infestations. However, shampooing your dog as often as once weekly may reduce the effectiveness of Advantage Multi against fleas.

My yorkie puppy started on this med at 5 months old, 5 lbs, now 7.5 lbs, 8 months old...Acts mopey tired depressed like on med day after the app. Don't like that. Also shook. Usually happy hyper.

Did not treat ear mites or cheyletitella. Put my puppy in a pool for seconds 3 days after his 4th application followed by a gentle wash & found a huge running flea on him 4 days following that so a wk
